Student Clubs and Groups
Collaborating with the University, the Department of Communication provides opportunities for you to become directly involved with media production and develop professional skills.
Clubs and organizations can provide you with real-world experience, ranging from producing publications and shows to writing and editing scripts and stories, to developing your own on-air talents. Our department student groups also offer valuable professional networking opportunities.
Discuss the communication field and develop relationships with other students, faculty and staff involved in the program through Psi Theta, SLU's chapter of the National Communication Association's Honor Society, . Psi Theta participates in service projects and sponsors events where communication students and professors get to know each other outside of the classroom.

- Have an overall GPA of 3.0 with a 3.25 GPA in communication classes

Develop skills in writing, copy editing, publication design or public relations by working with SLU鈥檚 social justice-oriented magazine, . OneWorld publishes a fall and spring issue each year, with stories focused on both local and global social justice issues.
The Strategic Communication Club (SCC) explores career preparation, hosts speakers and facilitates agency tours for students interested in public relations, advertising, marketing communication and related fields.
