Engagement Plays an Important Role in SLU鈥檚 Transition to Workday
One of the top priorities of 老司机福利网鈥檚 journey to Workday has been to engage members of the SLU community to provide insight and feedback to ensure the University鈥檚 new administrative system meets their needs.
In this update, the Workday change management team will provide an overview of the community engagement strategy, including areas where members of the University community can get involved in this important project.
Among other efforts, the team has hosted open forums and focus group meetings. Also, a Workday Champion Network was formed to help promote awareness around the project and to prepare the SLU community for the transition. Below is an overview of engagement activities.
Focus Groups
- Include 30 business managers, administrative assistants, operational leaders and others from both campuses
- Sessions to learn about the structure and business processes that will become Workday for SLU
- Help the Workday change management team understand, communicate changes and mitigate any challenges anticipated
Workday Champion Network
- Includes more than 70 staff and administrators from across the institution
- Collect and relay insights, questions and feedback
- Contribute to communications, testing, training, reinforcement and sustainment
- Assist with gauging organization and individual readiness
- Acts as trainers and resources to peers
Open Forums
- Held in May on north and south campus with more than 200 attendees
- An opportunity to explain and demonstrate Workday functionality and changes to end-users (faculty, staff, managers)
- Additional open forums in September (dates will be announced later)
