Application Information
What is the GPA requirement?
You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.65 or better in all post-secondary coursework.
Do I have to have a Bachelor鈥檚 degree to join this program?
Yes, you must have a bachelor鈥檚 degree. Earned bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited program in public service/health. Other degrees may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Can I apply while I am getting my Bachelor鈥檚 degree?
Yes! Please note your bachelor's degree must be completed by the semester prior to the start of the MEMS program. Example: If the MEMS program starts Fall semester, your bachelor's degree must be completed by the end of summer semester.
What degree should I have to be eligible for this program?
Public Health, Fire Science, Physician Assistant, Nursing, Psychology, Public Safety, Criminal Justice, Communication, Health Administration, Public Administration, and more. Other degrees may be considered on a case-by-case basis
General Information
Do I need to come to campus for this program?
No, this program is 100% online, asynchronous. Students all over the United States are eligible to be enrolled in this program.
When do I need to be online (in class)?
This program was designed for working professionals, so you can complete the weekly assignments when it is convenient for you! There will be optional live sessions if you want to connect with your classmates and faculty.
How many hours will I need to work on assignments?
Most students spend about 7 hours on their weekly tasks.
Is the program accredited?
Yes! The MEMS degree is accredited as an academic degree by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
What support is available for capstone projects?
All students in the program are closely mentored by faculty to ensure the feasibility and execution of their capstone projects and the faculty are very committed to student success.
