COVID-19 Resources Update: Testing and Vaccination Clinics
August 17, 2022
Dear members of the SLU community,
As we prepare to return to campus, I write with two timely updates to COVID-19 resources:
- Voluntary move-in testing schedule & sign-up
- Campus Vaccination Clinic appointments for fall
Voluntary move-in testing resources & sign-up
As stated in ourAugust 10 email update, we will not require asymptomatic surveillance testing of our residential students when they return to campus in the coming days. However, working on the honor system, all students are expected to obtain a COVID-19 test prior to returning to campus, regardless of whether they live on- or off-campus.
- For students who wish to get a test on campus during move-in, online sign-up for COVID-19 testing is now available. Walk-ins are also welcome. The testing clinics are located in the Simon Recreation Center and are open daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Thursday, August 18 through Sunday, August 21.
- Students who test positive for COVID-19 should not come to campus or, if you have already moved in, stay in your living space. Contact theStudent Health Center (314-977-2323) immediately for further instructions.
Campus COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic appointments for fall
This fall, SLU will once again offer COVID-19 vaccination clinics for those who wish to obtain vaccine doses or boosters on campus.
- You canto receive primary doses of Pfizer, Moderna, or Novavax vaccines or booster doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines on campus.
- Please note the availability of the Novavax option, recently. Some members of the campus community have been awaiting this vaccine, which has no connection, neither in the development nor testing, to fetal-derived cell lines or tissue.
- Vaccines are also readily available at.
Reminder: Proof of vaccination for new community members
New graduate and undergraduate students, and new employees and contractors must provide documentation of their COVID-19 vaccinations to. If you have already uploaded your proof of vaccination, no further action is required.
Stay safe and be well. We look forward to seeing you very soon.
