Cura Program Origins

Learn about the founding and major milestones of 老司机福利网's Cura program.

2012

  • Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) distributed a climate survey to all SAC members. Results indicated a need to improve working relationships between SLU faculty and staff.

2013

  • Results from the SAC survey are shared with the President's Coordinating Council (PCC)
  • An ad hoc committee comprised of Faculty Senate and SAC members is formed to address faculty/staff relations. The committee brings forward policy and procedure recommendations for addressing campus working relationships.

2014

  • The University engages Towers Watson to assist in the development and implementation of a University-wide Climate Assessment Survey.
  • Over 50 faculty and staff stakeholders, including the faculty/staff relations ad hoc committee, participate in focus groups to develop survey content.
  • Survey results are shared with the University community.
  • University divisions are tasked with developing and implementing plans for their staff to respond to climate-assessment survey results for in their area.
  • Towers Watson facilitates focus groups with faculty and staff from SLU campuses in St. Louis and Madrid to provide additional insights into how the University can improve trust, respect and working relationships.

2015

  • A Climate Assessment Taskforce made up of faculty, staff and administration is convened to review feedback from focus groups and make recommendations on a University-wide action plan for improving overall workplace climate.
  • Cura, a program focused on fostering a culture of understanding, respect and appreciation is developed. The development process includes input from multiple representatives from every major faculty, staff and administrative organization on campus.

2016

  • Cura launches with an announcement from University President Fred P. Pestello, Ph.D., and presentations from campus leaders.

 

  • A second Climate Assessment Survey (Faculty/Staff Feedback Survey) conducted from April 21 to May 2, 2016. Survey results are shared with the University community.

  • Cura is integrated into existing University programs such as orientations and the personal-development program Live Well. New workshops are developed and community events are hosted for SLU faculty and staff to come together and learn about working relationships.

2017

  • Cura workshops and instructor-led training courses are offered consistently for SLU faculty and staff.
  • New community events, such as the Cura Day of Appreciation, are held to recognize those that exemplify the Cura standards every day.
  • Additional resources and events are created to encourage SLU faculty and staff to develop positive working relationships.
