His honors include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Saint Louis Regional Arts Commission; the Poetry Society of America's 2013 Cecil Hemley Memorial Award; and nominations for a Pushcart Prize and the Rome Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Community Work and Service
He serves on the Board of Directors for the Saint Louis Poetry Center and curates the 100 Boots Poetry Series at Pulitzer Arts Foundation.
