Below are some frequently asked questions about applying and being admitted to Saint Louis University as an international student.
All international applicants to ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø are required to demonstrate their English proficiency. You can do this by sending us your paper-based or internet-based TOEFL scores. SLU also accepts scores from the IELTS, the SAT and the ACT.
If you do not meet SLU’s direct entry requirements, we encourage you to apply to the Pathway or English Language programs offered by .
You must submit proof that you have the necessary financial support to attend SLU as an international student to receive an I-20 form. The estimated amount for tuition and living expenses for one academic year is $70,000 USD for undergraduate students. Please send financial documents and a copy of your passport to internationalservices@slu.edu.
While SLU requires proof of your ability to financially support your attendance, it does not impact your admission decision.
Financial aid is available to international students attending the St. Louis campus.
You are automatically considered for SLU’s merit-based scholarships as part of your application for admission. In addition, there are two scholarships that require separate applications and are open to first-time freshman — the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship and the Presidential Scholarship. There are also several scholarships specifically for transfer students from other colleges or universities.

All first-time freshmen are required to live on campus for their first four consecutive semesters. Transfer students are not required to live on campus after their junior year, but you can submit a housing deposit and application if you would like to do so.
The office of International Services offers airport pick-up services before the start of the fall, spring and summer semesters.
