Q&A with Coach Adam Reeves: Leading the Charge for Pacific Men’s Soccer and Pacific Gives

Coach Adam Reeves

Adam Reeves, who took the helm as the head coach of Pacific Men’s Soccer in June of 2019, will be coaching his seventh season in 2025. Under his leadership, the program has continued to grow and develop. This year, Coach Reeves is taking on an even bigger role, leading the Pacific Gives fundraising effort for the men's soccer team. We asked Coach Reeves to discuss his vision for Pacific Men’s Soccer, the impact of Pacific Gives, and why it’s important for supporters to step up.

Q: As someone who has worked with the program closely, how would you describe the impact Pacific Gives can have on Pacific Men’s Soccer?

A: The Pacific Gives campaign is an annual cornerstone for our program. It allows us to fund projects that directly impact the student-athlete experience. Whether it’s enhancing our technology, improving our locker room, or supporting travel, each year we focus on something that will better our team. The community has been incredibly supportive over the years, aligning with our vision to provide these young student-athletes with the best possible experience. It’s through Pacific Gives that we can continue to invest in their development, both on and off the field.

Q: What inspires you to support Pacific through the Pacific Gives campaign, and why is it important for you to lead this effort?

A: This is a multifaceted question, and there are a few key reasons why I’m so passionate about this campaign. First, Pacific Gives provides a straightforward way for alumni to give back to a program that has given so much to them. It’s also an opportunity to connect our current players with past players—building a bridge between generations of Pacific soccer athletes. That connection is essential for any program’s success. In today’s NCAA environment, resources are more critical than ever. Pacific Gives helps us stay competitive, ensuring that we have the tools needed to support our athletes and continue building a championship-caliber program.

Q: What do you hope to achieve with your involvement in Pacific Gives, and how does it align with your passion for the game and the athletes at Pacific?

A: This year, our primary goal is to install a permanent camera system at Zuckerman Field, our training facility. Spiideo has become a vital tool for our team’s development, helping us analyze game footage and improve our training sessions. Since we spend the majority of our time at the training field, this system is essential for our growth. It's about creating a space where our athletes can develop their skills and learn in real-time. This fits perfectly with the mindset of our program—focusing on development and the process. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us get one step closer to that goal, and it’s greatly appreciated.

Q: As someone who has seen firsthand the potential of Pacific’s student-athletes, what challenge would you give to other supporters to step up for Pacific Men’s Soccer during this campaign?

A: Our program is made up of a diverse, eclectic group of young men, much like our city and region. They invest heavily in themselves and in each other to better the team. We place a strong emphasis on being great members of our community, both locally and globally. Now, we would love for that same community to invest in them—invest in their futures and help provide the resources they need to succeed. I challenge supporters to step up and give what they can, to help these athletes reach their potential and continue making us proud.

Coach Reeves’ leadership and commitment to Pacific Men’s Soccer are evident, and his passion for the athletes he coaches is clear. Through the Pacific Gives campaign, he’s providing alumni and supporters with the chance to invest in the future of the program and help elevate the student-athlete experience to new heights. If you’re interested in supporting Pacific Men’s Soccer through Pacific Gives, consider making a donation and joining the effort to enhance the program for years to come.
