Elvis of Cambodia: Stockton Film Premiere
06:30 p.m. - 08:30 p.m.
Elvis of Cambodia explores the life, music, and enduring legacy of Sinn Sisamouth, Cambodia’s most beloved singer-songwriter. Often called the "Elvis of Cambodia," Sisamouth’s golden voice and innovative style shaped the country’s vibrant rock scene in the 1950s and 60s. However, his life was tragically cut short during the Khmer Rouge regime. Through rare footage, expert interviews, and heartfelt storytelling, this documentary celebrates his influence and the resilience of Cambodian music. This event is FREE and open to students, staff, faculty, & community members.
