SLU Program in Physical Therapy Assistant Professor Leads Team Developing Load Management App

Soccer and basketball are among the most popular sports in the United States, and participation in either one comes with many health-related benefits, but not without risk of injury. SLU Program in Physical Therapy Assistant Professor Olu Owoeye, BPT, MS, Ph.D., and a team of researchers across the university have developed RICHLoad – an app that aims to reduce injuries among college athletes through load management.

In addition to Dr. Owoeye, the other researchers include: Co-Investigators Dr. Jamil Neme, SLU School of Medicine; Dr. Flavio Esposito, SLU Computer Science; Dr. Anthony Breitbach, SLU Doisy College of Health Sciences; Dr. Paula Buchanan, SLU Center for Health Outcomes Research; and Research Assistant Andy Florian Irakoze, SLU Computer Science.
