Research Interests

Dr. Hogan is keenly interested in how leader-follower interactions and intergroup relations shape workplace environments, organizational policies, and practices. She examines how these interactions affect work outcomes for employees, especially women, minorities, and people with disabilities. Dr. Hogan also studies crises in organizations. She is particularly interested in how and when disruptive events (crises) impact employees and organizations.

Her research on these topics has been published in top-rated journals in Business, such as Personnel Psychology and Organizational Psychology Review. She teaches graduate and undergraduate-level courses in Human Resource Management, Leadership, and Organizational Behavior.
