The Reynolds Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of two fine art exhibitions on January 30, 2023.

I Will Listen for Your Laugh and Turning Basin, on view through March 10, features new painting and sculpture by faculty artists Jill Vasileff and Lisa Cooperman. A reception to celebrate the opening is scheduled for Friday, February 3 at 6:00pm. The university community and public are welcome. Gallery exhibitions and events are free and open to the public.

Painting and printmaking instructor Jill Vasileff presents a series of abstract work exploring the apex between childhood and motherhood. Tender and melancholy, I Will Listen for Your Laugh, features shifting grids in veiled colors that explore the ephemeral imprint of memory. University Curator Lisa Cooperman presents wall hung and free-standing, textile-based sculpture in Turning Basin. Layered, knotted, and dense with sensation they propose irrational instructions generated by a mash up of found materials.

The Reynolds Gallery is located at 1071 W. Mendocino on the south side of the ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø Stockton campus. For more information call Lisa Cooperman (209) 932-3254 or email lcooperman@pacific.edu.
